The Relationship Museum 2020

The Relationship Museum with Zelda Lockhart, Ph.D.
This fun yet insightful writing and art expression workshop is designed to help community members and the practitioners that serve them consider the relationship they have had and reach for the relationship they want. Each participant will use Dr. Lockhart’s storytelling technique, personal plot, to do two spontaneous 10-minute writes inspired by music and visuals: one writing from a pivotal moment in the past in a chosen significant relationship, and one writing from their future desired relationship with this significant person or entity. To complete the expression, participants will create a diorama museum piece that offers literal or abstract representation of their future desired relationship. In a sharing and witnessing, these diorama’s will be presented with the short writing of the present relationship and the future relationship. Through this exercise, participants will offer themselves a personalized written and visual reminder of how to foster the type of connections they find to be healthy, supportive, and reflective of their past journeys.
