We have been anticipating seeing all of you at our IEATA Conference 2020 – UP: Unlimited Possibilities to Bee grEAT in Phoenix, Arizona this coming March 26-29. Our most important priority is the safety and comfort of all the conference participants and presenters. With the current threat of the Covid-19 virus, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the conference at the end of this month.
Please know that we did not make this decision lightly. Planning for UP: 2020 began before we met for our last conference in Berkeley, CA. Our conference team has spent months reading and selecting proposals, scheduling workshops and pre-conference, gathering relevant materials along with planning all of the logistics associated with an event of this size. However, although the risk of the virus remains low in Phoenix, many of our participants and presenters come from all over the world. As a result, we didn’t feel it was in everyone’s best interest to move forward.
We are continuing to work out the details of all of this, refunds, etc. We will be meeting with our Ottawa team to finalize what comes next in this process. We will keep you informed as we iron out all the details.
