Below please find correspondence from the IEATA Executives dated March 12, 2020.
Dear IEATA Conference Registrants,
We wanted to give you an update on some of the details we have been working on concerning the cancellation of the 2020 Conference. We had hoped to reschedule for a later date, however we were not able to do that.
We will be refunding the tuition for everyone that has registered. We are taking a $25 fee out as we are charged for taking in as well as sending back money. If you paid by credit card, the money will be put back on your card. If you paid by check, you will receive a check back from IEATA. You can expect these refunds over the next two weeks.
We want to remind you that if you did make hotel reservations, please cancel them with the hotel directly. It is our understanding that most airlines are charging no change fees for tickets.
Please contact your airline, if you have not already done so, to cancel your ticket.
As you can imagine, there is a great deal to be completed to close out this conference. We are both sad and relieved that this was the best decision that our board came to regarding canceling our conference and the health and well being of everyone attending. We will keep you posted as to our next conference.
We want to thank all of the presenters for their carefully written proposals. We ask that you please submit again for our next conference. Also, thank you to all the registrants and volunteers who shared our vision for this conference. We hope to see you all at our next conference or at a regional meeting near you.
