The International Expressive Arts Therapy Association and Ottawa University proudly welcome 2020 Preconference speaker, Aviva Gold, MFA, LCSW, REAT.
Aviva Gold, Art Medicine Woman
Aviva Gold MFA, MPS, CSW, ATR-BC, REAT, and Art Medicine Woman discovered the enchanted bliss and healing in nature and art as a lonely child. Thus began a lifetime of guidance from the muses found in art and nature. Aviva graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Art Education and Painting in 1962, taught art to children in Harlem and Spanish Harlem, New York City, received a Masters in Painting from Pratt Institute, was Mom to three sons, wife to a young doctor, and a natural childbirth and lactation coach, and she painted, exhibited and taught drawing and art history at New Mexico State University… all in what she sees as her “first” life. A Beez C’s of Source Painting: Unlimited Possibilities
In this oil pastel drawing, movement and sound workshop, you will experience the A, Bezzz, C basics of Painting From The Source® a deep, playful and often mysterious process for accessing intuition, creativity, and the knowing voice within. This intuitive, simple, yet powerful approach to painting (art making), provides an opportunity for people who are trained or untrained in the arts to quiet the mind and re-connect with their essential creativity. I believe that we are all artists, and all capable of connecting with the profound creative Source we knew when we were children. Through painting with simple childlike materials, communicating with our painting, and group sharing in a safe and nurturing environment, Painting From The Source® allows anyone to discover a vast wealth of images, colors, stories and truth which also comes in our night dreams. Besides bringing forth heart stirring images, many participants have found the PFTS experience to be a profound and even transformational experience.
